District 29 is losing long-time neighbors — not because they want to leave, but because they're being priced out. Property tax spikes and corporate rent hikes are pushing out families who have called this district home for decades.

I support a homestead freeze for seniors so long-time homeowners on fixed incomes aren't taxed out of the houses they've lived in for years, protecting stability for the people who built this community.

I also support caps on out-of-state institutional purchases of single-family homes. When large investment firms buy up starter homes to rent them back at a markup, local families lose their shot at ownership — that has to change.

Alongside those protections, I support dedicated funding for starter-home construction, so the next generation of District 29 families has an actual path to owning a home here, not just renting one.
